Contract Parts and Assemblies

Many manufacturers and machine shops turn to Metal Tech to manage the manufacturing and assembly of critical finished or semifinished parts. Working from your drawings, we manage all aspects of production, streamlining suppliers, process steps and logistics. ISO-certified job control and reporting systems deliver the information required to keep you on top of order status and eliminate the need for reinspection at your site. You'll have one accountable source, one competitive price.

Grinding

  • Our Cincinnati Centerless grinders have the capability of grinding from .062" to 4" diameter
  • Ground bars or parts up to 20' in length
  • Tolerances can be maintained within +/- .0001" and surface finishes to 4 RMS
  • See specific specs for in-feed, thru-feed and bar grinding

Turning

  • Rough turned or smooth turned bars in size ranges from 1/2" to 7" diameter
  • Products can be produced in lengths up to 36'
  • Grinding and polishing can be provided to improve tolerances and surface finish

Sawing - band saw and cold saw capabilities

  • Behringer Horizontal Saw
    • Has an 8-1/2" round or square capacity
    • Equipped with 22" automatic indexing unit
    • Multiple stroke allows cuts up to 132" lengths
    • Layer cut round bars as small as 3/16" - extremely economical way to produce pins or shafts in the 3/16" to 3/8" range
  • Eisele Cold Saw
    • Used primarily where close tolerances and smooth finishes are required
    • Equipped with an automatic indexing unit which allows a single 52" stroke

Drawing

Providing cold drawn bars in standard and non-standard sizes is a major portion of our business. Because we cut to order in lengths ranging from 6' to 30', we reduce material content, reduce scrap and save you money.

If straightening is one of your concerns we can provide ½ commercial tolerances upon request.
